8 tips for caring your dentures

If for some reason you have to extra protect all or some of the teeth, the most common solution to chew well and wear a nice smile is to use a dental prosthesis (or dentures), complete or partial. And to keep it in perfect condition, it is important to know how to care.

  3. If you find it inconvenient brush your dentures after eating, rinse your mouth with water to remove any food particles that has been trapped between the teeth. In addition to cleaning your dentures, you need to brush your gums, tongue and the inside of the mouth with a soft bristle brush twice a day. So you remove the plate and you stimulate circulation, which keeps your gums healthy. And it’s good that you wash your face daily with a mouthwash or warm salt water.
  4. Use your dentures every day to make sure it is well suited to your mouth.Over time, the gums and jaw line change and tend to retreat. If you are using the prosthesis daily, you minimize the problem.
  5. Anyway, the prosthesis should be adjusted from time to time to take a good look. If you care properly, usually lasts five to seven years before you must replace it with a new one.
  6. Give a rest to your gums: Remove your dentures when you go to bed. And to avoid hitting or deform when you are out of your mouth, keep it in water, to which you can add some disinfectant tablet.
